Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station, meet our representative
and proceed towards Phuentsholing, the Indo–Bhutan border town. Enjoy a scenic
drive through lush tea gardens and forested foothills. On arrival, complete
immigration and permit formalities for Bhutan.
After completing the formalities, check in to the hotel and relax. In the evening,
explore the local markets and nearby areas of Phuentsholing at leisure.
Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
After breakfast, begin your journey to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The
drive offers breathtaking views of winding mountain roads, waterfalls, and river
valleys. En route, pass the Tala Hydropower Project and enjoy the scenic
Himalayan landscape.
On arrival in Thimphu, check in to the hotel and have lunch. In the evening, visit
Clock Tower Square, stroll through the main street, and explore local handicraft
shops.
Overnight stay at Thimphu.
After early breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Punakha. En route, stop at
the famous Dochula Pass (10,200ft), which offers panoramic views of the
Himalayan ranges on a clear day. Visit the Druk Wangyal Chortens at the pass.
Continue to Punakha and visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, located at the
confluence of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers. Later, visit Chimi Lhakhang, also
known as the Fertility Temple.
After lunch, explore the Punakha Suspension Bridge (optional) and return to
Thimphu by evening.
Overnight stay at Thimphu
After breakfast, proceed for Thimphu sightseeing. Visit the iconic Buddha
Dordenma Statue, offering stunning valley views. Explore Tashichho Dzong, the
seat of the Bhutanese government and royal offices. Visit the Folk Heritage
Museum or Traditional Painting School to learn about Bhutanese culture and art.
After lunch, drive to Paro, a beautiful valley town known for its historic sites and
natural beauty. On arrival, check in to the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely
walk around Paro town.
Overnight stay at Paro.
After early breakfast, proceed for the highlight of the Bhutan tour – the trek to
Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). This iconic monastery is perched dramatically
on a cliff at 3,120 meters above sea level.
The trek takes approximately 4–5 hours round trip. Enjoy stunning views along the
trail and stop at the cafeteria viewpoint for refreshments. After visiting the
monastery, trek back to the base.
Return to the hotel and relax for the evening.
Overnight stay at Paro.
After breakfast, visit Paro Rinpung Dzong, a fine example of Bhutanese
architecture. Continue to the National Museum (Ta Dzong), which houses an
impressive collection of Bhutanese art, relics, and artifacts.
After lunch, begin your return journey to Phuentsholing, enjoying the scenic drive
through valleys and forested hills. On arrival, check in to the hotel.
Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Bagdogra Airport /
NJP Railway Station.
Arrive with beautiful memories of the Land of the Thunder Dragon.
